We'll see what happens but I have no doubt Google will roll over..

Besides, the feds already know what guns we own and we are kidding ourselves if we think different

Yep. Apple actually does respect privacy rights unlike Google/Android.

This will be a test. I'll bet Apple gives up the info to the feds.

Apple refused to give the government access to iPhones used by mass shooting suspects. While I don’t trust any corporate entity, Apple does give a crap about privacy.

I hope you are right but it seems like the tide of popular opinion is turning against guns and the importance of privacy in general.

Google will roll on everyone without a second thought. Their product is customer data and all of their services are just part of data mining

While I agree with the sediment here and I think it is a huge and improper data seizure, it's not the app they are after.

The logic is - if someone downloaded the app, they probably have the scope, which is illegal in some countries and they are trying to find where that scope was exported to. At least... that's what I could gather from the article. But here's the question - are they really trying to shut down the scope manufacturer, ATN?

I bet they give the info over and simply say they didn't.

This is so funny there should be some type of meme for it.
