I must be lacking common sense, I think a 15$ an hour minimum wage is a horrible thing for the US economy.
How much would those boudin balls cost if you had to pay every employee at least 15$ hour?
I wish he would try as hard to pull the conservatives of the republican party over. He has instead continued to attack and challenge them to "get on the trump train or get run over."
Since when did we stop holding our candidates responsible for what they promised? When did integrity and honor cease to matter just because someone is an elected official?
So now we have a republican candidate trying to cater to the socialist wing of the democratic party and we are ok with that?

Glad you asked: As a sitting Board Member of the Greater Houston Restaurant Association we have already done a preliminary report on the impact of $15 per /hour for minimum wage. I was actually even able to use what I learned as an economist to formulate the hypothesis. It will be a disaster in our marketplace. Oh, a boudain ball that is now roughly $1.50 (I think), would be $3.00 easily..........the playing field WILL NOT CHANGE and the folks pushing for it already know that! They are playing to the dim lightbulbs among us.
I also wonder why Trump is NOT spending ANY time attempting to sway us true fiscal conservatives to get on his train???? Red meat is NOT where we are........it is about FACTS at this point in the process. Catering to the "furthest left" (socialist/anarchist/communist) is just bizarre for a RHINO candidate for president.
Ten dollars is still a ways from 15. What is it now, Seven something?
Maybe it should be left up to the employer??
So you think it should be left up to employers?? They can already choose to pay more if they want too.... Oh but they don't.. So how do you see this working out if the minimum is done away with... Hmmmmm, let's see here..
I may be out of line here but I'm betting it doesn't go up.... And it's already too low..
Kewl, I can send you the billing for the difference!!!! Obviously you have never done a payroll........or paid payroll taxes........or paid state franchise taxes.........or...........obviously you don't have any idea what is involved with even a $1 "mandated" change!
I think any raise in the minimum wage is bad for the US economy. Why is 10 ok and 15 not? How about we just raise it 20$? 25$?
Or better yet, let the marketplace dictate the wage and not the government (state or federal).
That would be to much like the AMERICAN WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Folks don't really want FREE ENTERPRISE, LIBERTY or FREEDOM that just think the words are "semantics!"
I have never made minimum wage always north of it since I got my first paycheck as a 13 yr old kid. I don't understand why people with no trade skills/education complain about have to work 40 hours for minimum wage. If one job isn't cutting it there are 16 more hours in the day left to work after you get off of you're first 8 hour shift. Hell get a second job working another 8 hour shift and still have 8 hours left each day to sleep......after my dad passed and left my mother with three young children to raise she got a second job to make ends meet and when the time came even helped us through our university of choice, and never once did we EVER have any government assistance. We grew up poor, but that's just the cards we were dealt and work was what had to be done to make it.....
There isn't need to raise minimum wage, people just need the work ethic to do the best they can with what God has given them the health and opertunity to do!!!
Didn't he just say something to this affect last night that $10 was a good starting point for states to make their minimum wage and that it should remain at the state level and that some states, due to cost of living should raise that up to as high as maybe $15? Is he saying now that it should be a federal mandate at $15 across the board?

OMG................you are truly lost! Or a Bernie supporter??? The employee NEEDS to LEAVE THE JOB if they cannot deal with the pay......period! HOW simple is that??????? Get more training and move on to the next JOB LEVEL. U do know that is what the minimum wage jobs are for????....Simply stepping stones to something else!......huh...sigh.....u are just joking right. Heck, in your world McDonalds should just pay $70,000 for a first time job applicant just because it is a BILLION dollar company. Lordy help us all!!!

He may have Tim but the tenor will change within 24 hours when he changes his thoughs on the subject! $10 , $12, or $15 plus is not the true issue. the issue is get out of folks business!!!!!

Your sure are on the defensive.
We're did I say a McDonald's employee should make $70,000 a year????
Simple math, without doing it, says that roughly $32-$33 per hour..
Good try though.
