"We have to raise the minimum wage" - Trump

Just heard trump say this at his news conference. "We have to raise the minimum wage. We have to take care of people." I guess this is the new Republican Party. So much for less government.

Well I guess that is the reason common sense ain't so common anymore. There's not a conservative economist that agrees. Hillary and Bernie do though. So you have that going for you.

I heard it straight from the horses mouth also. Heck, he is a billionaire let him wright the difference in payroll checks to make everyone a $15 an hour burger flipper! (be sure a number #2 at McDonalds/Wendy's/Whataburger/etc. will go up in price making that $15 equivalent to the minimum wage scale......simple economics) Let me decide on WHAT I pay my 30 employees! For us, only high school kids or risky hire's get minimum wage on our payroll.....which has been our policy for over 10 years. But don't TELL me what to pay folks that work for me!!!!. IF an employee can find better overall pay, employment package let them go out and compete in the marketplace.

He's only trying trying to pick up all the sanders supporters. Since when has a president done what they said?

I expect the president to at least try to do what he believes. Whether he gets those things accomplished is another matter. Why do you believe he was telling the truth when he spoke to your core beliefs? Or was he just trying to get your vote?

So, did he actually say he wanted it at $15? Or did he say it needed to be raised, without a dollar amount?

What I heard him say was to raise it to at least $10 an hour. Then he followed up with that it really should be left up to the states. He gave an example how where he lives in NY it's so much more expensive than other parts of the country and that you can't get a hotdog in NY for the current minimum wage.

I must be lacking common sense, I think a 15$ an hour minimum wage is a horrible thing for the US economy.

How much would those boudin balls cost if you had to pay every employee at least 15$ hour?

I wish he would try as hard to pull the conservatives of the republican party over. He has instead continued to attack and challenge them to "get on the trump train or get run over."

Since when did we stop holding our candidates responsible for what they promised? When did integrity and honor cease to matter just because someone is an elected official?

So now we have a republican candidate trying to cater to the socialist wing of the democratic party and we are ok with that?
