I think polls now are meaningless. The 2016 election may come down to who is going to work for you, i.e., the people. Not just the left. Not just the right. Not for the rich.
Trump is rich - but he can point to how much he has lost and how much the rich have have spent to keep him from getting elected. Whereas Hillary has become filthy rich with the help of the richest companies in America. Then there is the Clinton Foundation hundreds of millions of dollars in donations while she was Sec State.
I think the final poll will favor Trump if that is who matches up against HRC.

If it comes down to him and Hillary, he will destroy her. Nothing will be off limits, nothing.

Trump's biggest problem is how many Republicans would stay home in November rather than vote for him. A poll 2 days ago of Utah in the General Election showed both Hillary AND Bernie beating Trump there. In Utah....the most Republican state in the Union. The last time Utah voted Democrat in the General Election was 1964. When Trump supporters have said he'll put new states in play if he's the nominee, somehow I doubt that's what they had in mind.

The rest of the candidates did their share of attacking as well, though definitely not as bad. But most of the big discussions and stances in this election were first talked about by Trump and the rest picked up on those issues afterward. That's why I think he really does stand for those issues despite his past alignment with the left. I believe what he did in the past was just business. The real question is whether or not he'll be willing to lose some of his own fortune due to his plans.

Trump seems like a real unprecedented juggernaut....until you find out that Hillary has gotten 1.3 million more votes in the D primary race than Trump has gotten in the R primary race (even with all the D's crossing over to vote for him). And that's with him getting way more free media time than Hillary, and more free media time than all the rest of the Republican candidates combined.

Originally posted by Joshua Flournoy View PostIt does, until you realize that's the case because a lot of Dems are crossing over to vote for Trump in Open voting states, which naturally shows an increase in R turnout. In Closed states, where only Republicans can vote, Cruz has beaten Trump by an avg. of 35% to 31%. If Trump is the nominee, he will get some Dem votes, but you've never seen the numbers of GOP voters who will stay home like if he is the nominee.
