maybe they will move to a blue state where it makes no difference, but will turn Virginia red?
122k federal workers live in Virginia (1.3% of its 8.7M population, 4% of federal government employees). Trump lost Virginia by 260k votes last year. Them federal workers probably all voted 2-3 times a piece for Kameltoe Harris.

"220,000 workers hired in the last 2 year" i.e. DEI hires. I hope they all come from the internal revenue service.

I've had friends laid off at Peterbuilt, TI, Raytheon, dad got laid off at Bell Helicopter......I wish they could lay off the top 220,000 not the bottom 220,000........it's not just federal employees not wanting to do their jobs 2 of my buddies had nightmares getting into DPS for drivers license, one finally went in with all his paperwork, 2 women in there "working" not a single other person there, first one told him she couldn't help him he had to make an appointment, 3-4 months out, told her he's been trying online but keeps getting kicked out finally worker number 2 told him to step over to her and in a few minutes walked out with drivers license, this was in Gainesville. Not a single "customer" and told him had to leave and make an online appointment.....government employees of all levels got spoiled by covid not having to actually deal with the taxpayers....social security office in Sherman same nightmares, I retired city of Fort Worth Fire and it is so top heavy with chiefs, civilians and 40 hour workers it's ridiculous so it's government at all levels just bigger and worse at Federal level. VA claims take months to years and have attorney working on one denial and he said made no sense everything in the file including their exam supports it but just denied.

I'm sure they can be rehired in a merit based environment with no DEI considerations.

I'm sure their families made up for the other two or three votes which would probably turn Virginia red had they not moved to work a Govt job.

Not doing this for fear that 120K people might not vote for your party in 2028....is crazy.
Things will get better, good ones will return on merit, and most of the people who were let go (who were new hires) will be over it by next election time.

He can’t run again so he doesn’t care, but it might bite Republicans in the azz. It won’t just affect the people who get fired (for what they feel is no reason), it will affect their families and friends, plus lots of people who hear about it.
If DOGE saves billions upon billions of dollars, the Republican party will pick up millions of democrat voters and Rinos that were absolutely convinced that the TV was telling them the truth until they learned that it wasn't. When this starts converting to dollars in their pockets it will change. 220,000 DEI hires aren't voting for anything but a free ride. Nothing will change that. Watch the working class change though.

I was a consultant. If you know anything about consulting, you know that when they are through with you it’s Adios Jack, look for another job.

We can hope for that to happen, doesn’t mean it will. I won’t hold my breath waiting on “millions of democrat voters” though.

Had conversation today with friend that was F18 pilot in Marines and retired officer in Green Berets. He was telling me about a lady he knew in GAO that was about a GS 13 level in pay......he asked her why she should make more, and was at that time, than his friend who was the Captain of an Air Craft Carrier over thousands of personnel and billions of dollars of equipment.....said she gave some song and dance about why she deserved how much she got paid as lifetime government employee vs the Captain of the carrier, of course she wouldn't argue why she should make more than him only that she deserved how much she got paid......he thought she was GS 13 but was a long time ago......

I retired Jan 10th. I just hope there is still someone left that knows how to cut my Social Security checks. I haven't even gotten the first one yet.
