I’m not smart enough to know whether this mass firing without review is good or bad, but I’m smart enough to know he just alienated 220,000 voters. He can’t run again so he doesn’t care, but it might bite Republicans in the azz. It won’t just affect the people who get fired (for what they feel is no reason), it will affect their families and friends, plus lots of people who hear about it.

Just means freeing up more funds for the private sector contracts and lending, which in turn promotes innovation and tech in the private sector. Republicans have always promoted smaller gov. While the dems have always promoted big gov. That has been a long-standing history between the two. Big gov (Dem idea) has the theory of helping to stimulate the economy by creating gov jobs. If everybody is employed by the gov, who creates new ideas and new jobs in the private sector? How is the national debt ever paid off? It never will be. And Gov will continue to "support" the country and outside interest till it's broke. What has happend to our national debt over the last 4 years? We, as a country, could do a whole lot better. DJT is a businessman. And will run the country like a business to get it back in shape. That, is exactly what he did in his first term. And what he's doing now.
Just chill, and ride the wave.Last edited by Texas Grown; 02-13-2025, 08:25 PM.

All we can hope for is more folks realize how corrupt the government has become.

I totally get where you’re coming from, but he’s doing what we elected him to do.

Y’all know that I totally agree with smaller government, and I certainly don’t know the details, but I also know that when you fire that many people without any review, then you probably fired some good employees. Maybe worth it, maybe not, that’s all I’m saying. Would you like to lose your job with no review ? I mean, just because……..

Cuz, after having gone through 37 or 38 different employers, I get what you're saying. And you're right. But I also wonder how many of those folks already vote left.
I work in such an industry that has peaks and valleys like that. It's part of the nature of the business. It's always fun till it's not. Some prepare for such events. Some don't. All we can do is ride the wave.

that’s what turned Virginia blue, DC government workers.
a large percentage live in Virginia.
maybe they will move to a blue state where it makes no difference, but will turn Virginia red?
