I agree with this, there are too many lawsuits that citizens are having to pay for because of violating constitutional rights.
Some of these makes you wonder how can they be so dumb, I don’t want LE being falsely accused, and I don’t want citizens rights violated.
it all false back on training.

Yep. When it takes longer training to get a license to cut hair than it does to become a LEO, you are asking for trouble.

I will be teaching the Constitution on the First Amendment. Second Amendment, Fourth Amendment, Fifth Amendment, Sixth Amendment, Eighth Amendment, Tenth Amendment and Fourteenth Amendment and state laws and prevailing court cases on arrests and seizures.

They will understand constitutional rights and laws when they leave.

What they are told or forget from class after they get to their agencies is beyond my control.

There is no standard protocol or department policy. Usually, it is left to the discretion of the officer at the scene.

              I’m assuming that was in humor….. 😎

That’s because they are learning 1,000 different hairstyles and methods.

I think a basic EMT school is about 16 weeks. Heck, maybe a hairdresser takes twice as much training as a person who is trying to save your life by inserting objects into your body and giving you medicine. Heck, a person might end up with a bad haircut!!

But the haircutting training is repeated on forums daily.

By the way, police usually train several months longer than a person with a cosmetology license.

If you meant that for a comedy, it was great. 👍🏼

When you’re given a badge and a gun with tremendous power over citizens, training is serious.
I went to school with and have a couple relatives that are in LE, that couldn’t hold a regular job, but then get promoted with our local LE agencies, serious vetting and then training is very necessary, after all us taxpayers foot the bill and we so we should ask questions and taken seriously, I don’t believe taxpayers should pay for mistakes made by poorly trained or untrainable people.

I would never suggest otherwise. I have been training police officers for over 35 years.

The cosmetology license isn’t valid though but I swear I see it every week on some forum.

Incompetent people exist all over the world in every job position imaginable. Beware of painting with a broad brush.
