Yes they are very intensely trained in this type of theatre. My teams have worked with them extensively in the past. We also cross train and jointly train in some areas and aspects.

No, not all employers are required to use it. Im no expert, but know small businesses arent required. I never did. I did have to make copies of 2 forms of ID ( there are various options on which ID ), complete an I-9 and report the new hire to the state.

So if the documents are fake, there is no way for me to know.

My head painter, sub contractor, was illegal but spoke great english and actually had a federal issued EIN and it was legit and I 1099 him on it and one year he actually got audited by the IRS, I had to help him out with some stuff. So how could an owner ever know the legal status of a person if they have a legit Federal EIN issued to them ???

Well that answers my questions loud and clear. YES every employer should we be required to use the e-Verify system and we need to fix it so it actually works.
