Because we have become soft and tolerant of most everything concerning these elected officials. Nothing will change until there is serious accountability and consequences.

So will there be anything Trump can do that will stick that forces politicians to disclose or be subject to an audit when they make millions more than their salary?

I'm not saying they should be subject to a detailed fine tooth comb by IRS for making money, but geez they should at least have a semi-plausible answer to how they turn $175k into 30 million over 4 years.

He can sign into law every bill that Congress sends him that will keep themselves from making extra money.

So if they police themselves and restrict their own activities and pass such a bill, Trump can finalize the deal.

Yeah, there has to be something to it. Why would most drop all honor to stay in a $174,000 a year job. For the time being it is working in Trump's favor. They will sell their souls to keep from being primaried.
