What?? Come on man. What do you mean “listen to myself” There have always been licensing requirements that vary by state to harbor/care for/keep wildlife. This wasn’t just created out of the blue.

The squirrel was reported by someone on social media so they had to act. They didn’t have a “top secret squirrel surveillance team” waiting to go after him. Listen to yourself man.

And the comment you quoted was in regards to someone saying he had the “legal right to have the squirrel” which it appears he did not. Just looking for facts, not emotions

Like I said, I am not saying yes, I want the little squirrel to have been euthanized and I wish someone could have done something different about. They’re also in New York, not Texas. But if the question is why it happened, it’s pretty simple (besides swat team raid)

      LOL No kidding.
Just ignore the welfare family obviously lying to get more free money and faking hurt to get SS and disability early. Forbid we send just one person to simply see about stuff like that.

Resources are tied up with teams to raid a mans house over a squirrel.

That is what the state police and alphabet agency’s have come to. Squirrel license enforcement and squirrel raids! Pretty sad in the good old USA.

Hell they can’t even protect the ex president. They probably had more people at the squirrel raid than they had snipers protecting him.

I love elon...the dude saved free speech.

If they hadn't killed peanut & fred for no reason this wouldn't be an issue. The only people who screwed up are the govt officials & I'm glad it's making folks take note of obvious overreach....why defend tyrants??

          good listen.

We did the same, but let Squiggy go...feed him at the window daily.

There's a guy with a coyote as a pet on YouTube. Been on for years. I'm thinking he better put a kamala hat on that thing right now

I certainly feel safer now that this criminal has been raided and is no longer a threat to licensed squirrel owners everywhere! I just hope they’re on the lookout for other cute creatures to euthanize……….

All this over a squirrel, just think what will occur if things really go south in the USA. Of course it’s not necessarily the squirrel that’s an issue more the big picture of the over kill by the gubment overreach.?

At the end of the day, Wildlife departments do not care how much of a following an illegally kept animal has, it is still illegal. Plain and simple. How many other wild animals probably get confiscated and euthanized? Probably a lot more than we know of. How many wild animals get put down because tourists feed bears, seals, or whatever and then they become dangerous because they lack fear of humans? Happens all the time too.

I’m not saying I don’t feel bad for the little guy and I wish there could’ve been a different solution, but it was illegal to have him at the end of the day.

I just honestly thinks it’s ridiculous it’s become such a big story, but again, social media at its finest.

You dont need a license to vote but you need one to let a squirrel live with you?

Because the algorithms made it popular as a way to stir unrest?

I’ve had a squirrel and coon as a house guest. Took both to vet for shots. Both lived about 50/50 inside and outside. Never had a license and Game Wardens kid was there often.
the problem with Peanut is he had a MAGA hat on and someone got TDS

I wonder if this will wake some people up. Here on TBH lots of people (last good thread we had on it) said LEO wouldn't take people's guns etc.. Or most wouldn't..

You can clearly see how stupid the entire system is at this point. Most just "do their job". Not that this specific case goes against the constitution or anything...But just that it's obviously so stupid to send 10 agents to this guys house based on a phone call from someone with TDS.

But I remember cases like a TBHer had proof someone stole 60k worth of equipment. Had video of the vehicle and GPS location of stolen goods... But had hell getting LEO to do anything, at least until a TBHer or two got the ball rolling.

Walk out of Wal-Mart with a $500 TV and no one can do anything. Steal over the counter drugs from CVS and crickets. No ID to vote = no problemo! A man get arrested and after judge sees rap sheet with 15 felony convictions..ehh let him go, he will appear on his next court date.
But a man may have a squirrel in his house with no license!!!!!! No way!
