Former Democratic Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is now the third favorite to be Donald Trump's vice presidential pick, according to several prominent bookies having seen her odds improve significantly over the past few months.

PaddyPower and Betfair both have the odds of Gabbard being Trump's running mate at 15/2 or 11.8 percent, while William Hill has her at 6/1 or 14.3 percent.

Gabbard has “gun control” issues is what I hear. Well she doesn’t think mentally ill people should have guns- said she supports laws for safer gun ownership- sure I’m not a big fan of open policy like that.

but she shoots 3 Gun- stands strongly on “Right” to own firearms, and is probably a better shot with an AR-15 than 99% of the Members on this website including me. I have seen articles stating Gabbard and guns but I’ve watched her news clips and also read her platform. I don’t agree with everything but she has stuck to her position for the most part.

I know I'm not the first to ask, but why is he not conducting a nationally televised "The Apprentice" for his VP. Not even joking. All the big names could participate if they want but so could normals. The country could see these proceedings from start to finish and be invested in a job that's as worthless as teets on a boar hog.

Who knows, John the welder may come out of nowhere and absolutely dominate and be the next president in four years... I'd rather a vote for a welder than ever cast my vote for another career politician ever again.

Tulsi has done a 180 on most of her democratic leanings. There are a lot of questions remaining but I think she now polar opposite of the far left since 2020.

Gabbard did a youtube video (or more) where she talks about her stance on gun control and the change. Basically she had an epiphany.

She didn’t hide from her former stance. Gabbard said that she grew up in Hawaii where it takes several weeks just to get a permit to take a gun home.

Since 2020 she has talked to people about her opinion (probably ridiculing her), actually read the Supreme Court decision in Bruen and the right to bear arms, etc. Now she has said that her eyes have been opened. The right to bear arms isn’t only about personal defense but also as a deterrent to a tyrannical government who is becoming more and more oppressive. She said, I am finally understanding what the Second Amendment is all about. I don’t need permission to stand on a street corner and use my First Amendment rights, why for the Second Amendment?

People can believe it or not but she has used the words like a tyrannical government which is becoming very oppressive.
