I have family members on both sides of the conflict but I have U.S. Soldier blood in my veins at the moment.

”More deserving” is a matter of record, not opinion. Walter Payton ain’t a soldier, he is of no significance to the United States of America, neither is your George Floyd.
Guess we need to change all Washingtons, Jeffersons, Hancocks, etc. They were traitors to the Crown. How can you think of supporting something named for such traitorous villains? Was it because they won?

You must have me confused with someone else.

I do think it’s hilarious to name a base after a person from an opposing side (enemy) and get all butt hurt because folk change the name with ample documentation and a reasonable reason. 🤣😂

I’m 100% US Military to the bone through my scar tissue. If a base rates a name change to a United States GI from some name thats not representative of the US military, I guess I’m open minded to that decision.

Please read post number uno 😂🤣😂🤣

Some of you guys whine and ain’t much different than the ones that support George Floyd or OJ Simpson because of skin color. 😂🤣. Rebel Yell ! 🤣😂🤣😂

Luckily BLACK MAN Henry Johnson is more of a PATRIOT and military historically significant than all of you posting.

      Boo-Hoo 🤣😂

Ft Hood aint a base. Ft Benning isn’t a base. Ft Bragg is not a base. Is this another change. Soldiers use the term base now for an Army post? I can’t keep up with all this woke ****. Some of yall wont be happy till they name it Ft. Mulvaney or Ft Leah Thomas lmao.
The term Fort alludes too much to the Indian wars. Too offensive. Best call them bases now. 😂

I’m still trying to figure how changing a name is “rewriting history”. 🤣😂🤣😂

When my dad cheated on my mom I started calling him A-hole instead of dad, didn’t change history.

Lol, gayest sentence ever written. I just googled it, Gen. Hood is still in the history books.

I was born at Camp Campbell, Ky in 1946 so I guess I have as much military blood in me as anyone. My family lineage has continuously served in the military since the war of 1812 starting with my great great great great grandfather Capt Drury Adkins, Dickson County, Tennessee. My other household member is still active duty with the Texas Military Dept. I have served. My opinions don't mean squat to anybody but me. Base, Fort, Camp, whatever. Those who died fighting and should not be forgotten is all that matters.

You guys have fun joining the woke crowd and changing names. Call it whatever you want. I'm out. can't argue with twisted liberal logic.
