Jamaica was a plantation in the slave days, for sugarcane. No one in her family claims to originally be "Jamaican". So in a roundabout way, yes, she is "african". Her grandmother claimed to be "Afro-Jamaican" as well.

If you really dig into it, Kamala's dad (whose parents were Irish and Afro-Jamaican) claims to be the descendent of a large slave owner (Hamilton Brown, another Irishman) as well. I know history well enough to know that there was usually only one way white men had black children back in the slave days, and it's not pretty.

You are right, and tho it’s a stretch, you can bet the left and all media will grab on to that tiny speck of “Afro” when it suits the narrative with no mention of her ancestry of slave ownership.
