I was too young to vote, but would have considered myself a Reagan Republican growing up and agree he was a great communicator. But I think the jury is still out and declassification of some documents may show his admin, specifically the CIA and NSA was as corrupt as the current admin. There is some evidence his campaign gave Iran $40M to not release the Iran hostages until AFTER the election so as not to give Carter credit. There is also some evidence that high ranking officials in his admin were connected to a series of homicides nicknamed the Octopus Murders. And that this was linked to the Iran Contra Affair but wasn’t exposed during the hearings.

I’m afraid our federal gov has been corrupt for much longer than we could ever understand.

Looking back over history it's hard to imagine how someone like FDR could share some of the same DNA of a patriot like Teddy. FDR was one of the most corrupt presidents of the 20th century. A dictator and power hungry person like America had never seen. The father of modern day socialism in America and he was almost successful in establishing a single party rule by weaponizing every branch of government including the SCOTUS.

        Teddy Roosevelt
Strong Foreign Policy, big stick backed by great white fleet.
        Champion of trust busting.
        Made conservation a conservative cause.
The opposite of a draft dodger war hero.
The only one in my lifetime that championed all the same causes was JFK.

What we have witnessed since FDR is the evolution of EVIL calling themselves Democrats. It's the ol Beaver method. One nibble at a time until the tree falls. The only way to save the tree is to kill the beaver.

No way I am trusting what history says about past presidents. I can only imagine what will be taught in schools about DJT in the future.

I was just talking about this with my wife. It's a tad complicated but think without social media how do "we the people" have any clue what we were told (and believed) our entire lives was true at all?

You can go as deep down this rabbit hole as you want. But if you honestly look you would bet everything without social media covid would go down as they claimed it was.
So was Putin ever the bad guy? Hitler really all bad as they claim? True reasons for great depression, civil war etc?

Sounds dumb but back then they controlled 100% of what you read, were taught, and heard. But most people will be instantly scared and snap back those questions are stupid LOL
