Ha ha, I heard about the snakes but obviously the rest was left off till now. That's funny. You need to take me out on one of the these night hunts and in return we can work on the pistol marksmanship.

I haven't laughed that hard since my friend Robbie told the story about his son Rusty that spined a Hog with a .270 that suddenly found legs once he walked up on it....

Blane I will have you on hogs long before you make me a good shot with a pistol.

Congrats and great story and great hunt. I know I should be packing heat when I'm tracking but still don't. I know it's only a matter of time before one gets me with all the hogs I track at night in the thick stuff. Sure wish I had the spot and stalk opportunities you do as I love spot and stalk.

I know the feeling as the same happened to me in May.

I always take my XD40 with me when blood trailing a pig.

                          Read for the ride.

My wife is always getting on me about not taking a pistol. I guess it's a good thing I almost stepped on the rattlesnake earlier in the night. He only weighed around 120 so I don't think he would have done much damage.

I was thinking about you last week when we went through Victoria on the way to Port A. I sure did have an itchy finger.
You need to come up some time and hunt with me. It gets real hard to stalk them right now because we are really dry and the ground is crunchy. I love to hunt with you though.

Yeah I read your story. Sounds like you are a better shot with a pistol than I am.
