Thanks for all the nice comments. Still pinching myself that I got him. Kind of glad I got him in November during the rut. I've had some success in the late archery season when it's cold and snowy here in Ohio, but I'm usually pretty worn out by then and it's hard to stay motivated. Last good buck I killed during the rut was in 2007, my most recent two before this one were in late December of '11 and mid January of '09. Now the attention turns to taking some of my older kids out during the youth and regular gun seasons to see about getting a few of them their first deer. Got close to 100 lbs. of meat from my buck, but we need to get a few more to re-stock the freezer!
