You are as OCD as I am. You are fine!

If the deer is dead..and went down within view as you said, it was a good shot. You cannot control the animals ducking the arrow. I don't think I have ever seen anybody get on here and say anything bad about a deer that ducked the arrow and got away....much less one that went down in sight. Don't beat yourself up over a VERY lethal shot! Thankfully the vitals are fairly large to help us all out..

BTW...I said what I said about the report, because you claimed it was because you did not have a computer at home and you were too lazy to post via phone. I did not know it was because of you concern about potential put downs.
