      That is a very big axis. 30" is good. 35"up is great. You should take up that offer for a cape and get that thing shoulder mounted. Congrats

          i have already started the process of european mounting hiim i figured i would do it on a rustic looking piece of wood and really make it stand out since the head is already ruined by the buzzards and had a bad stinch to it to put it in the freezer, my next one wil deff be a shoulder mount and i wil make a good shoot on it and deff give it time.... it was a hard lesson for my first axis....... i think it wil turn out good with the ideas i have for it

                      yes sir it is and this was shot out of a nice lock on stand that someone gave me that i really appreciate ....we saw a lot of deer mostly axis and young bucks my BIL stuck a 200lb boar hog and we had tons of pics on cameras... hopefully the big boys start moving soon.....
