    Some axis bucks

Got these guys 2 weeks ago. I have the worst luck with axis does. I have never arrowed one. I did hit one that week end but she whirled around at the shot and my arrow stuck in her shoulder bone. No blood no trace..she was gone. I got this guy that evening.

didn't use a hammer head and had trouble finding him. Luckly he only went 80 yards.

The next day this guy came in. His rear leg had a hole you could see through in it and was shriveled up pretty good. He was super wary and wouldn't relax. Took forever to get to draw on him. Got a passthrough with a hammerhead...he didn't go far.

I would gladly be a donee (sp?). You have any other culls you would consider selling a hunt for? PM if interested

Did these come from a free range place?

I'm just curious to why you didn't let them finish growing.
They look like they could have grown out and made some great deer.

Safe to assume, if anybody's gonna get something up there, it's you, Frank.

Can I hunt your stand? lol Coming up this weekend?

The place is all low fenced. I watched a few dozen during season but never seen a decent doe. I always passed em up cause was waiting for a big whitetail buck and they all looked like these. Since beginning season they have came and went so finally decided to take that first one cause I wanted some meat and the does eluded me. The next day I stuck that 2nd buck cause he was shot in the back leg and it looked awful. You cant tell in the pic but he was skinny compared to the first one. His whole leg shriveled up. I'm all about letting them grow but I've seen lots of ones like this and always let em walk. We have no limits on axis and are supposed to be taking them on sight for the TPW management program. I hope some of those that walked during early season show up again.
