    This is what I do. I haven't gutted in years unless required to by the hunt. Hill country white tails usually don't have much meat left after quarters, bs, and tenderloins.

      I don’t see the point in gutting at all unless you have to pack the animal out. Only thing lost going gutless is the ribs which have no meat anyway

        Lol. Yea a deer laying on his back is easier to gut and skin than when hanging by his back legs. Hmm Ok.
