Sorry JERP not meaning to hijack your thread just got caught up in the moment.

I need to build one of these racks as they sure make the process a lot easier. A ranch I used to get to hunt had several of these. Thanks for a good thread fellers.

GW had a guy on one of my old leases go drag the carcass back out of the creek where he had dumped it and had him bone out the ribs and neck!!

TB, I am with you on the idea that it is a lot of work for little reward!!!

What do they do with Elk and Moose?

TrailBoss.....does it swivel? Care to make a few more? I am sure you could get $40-$60 for them.

Man.....I have always misread that as saying that I did not have to keep the neck or rib meat. Sorry for the thread hijack.

Thanks for the input fellas. I forwarded the two pics to the only guy I hunt with who knows how to weld. - I'm real good at creating work for him by coming up with ideas of stuff for him to build. In addition to coming up with the ideas, I'm really good at standing there watching him weld, beer in hand, giving words of encouragement. I guess everybody's good at something! It's a gift, what can I say...

Yup and any of these carts can be made better with pnuematic tires on them to get around a skinning shed easier.

It's funny because I just sent an email to everyone on our lease saying we needed one of these racks. Now because of this thread I have more pictures to send to my welding buddies.....

About how long are those skinnig tables? It sounds like a great idea to me, I might just have to make one of those with wheels on them.

Stx they're about 3 1/2' - 4' long, I wouldn't go over 4'. Height depends on how high you want it.

I wouldn't make the sides too tall either....You really only need t little "v"...don't want the gear getting in the way of the deer.

i built one for a buddy on mine that is on rolling wheels w/ extension handles. it looks similar to a wheelbarrow and is balanced like non other, you can lift it with animal by one finger. they are really easy to build and a lifesaver if your knees are as messed up as mine from football and being a young kid doing crazy things.

Does anyone have dimensions for one of these racks? I am going to get our ag department at school to weld me up a couple.
