    What kind of Fletching glue???

Ok, so I just fletched a dozen Axis arrows (the camo ones) yesterday. Today I was able to easily pull all the vanes off. Obviously the wrong glue. I used Fletch-Tite in the white tube. What's next... Goat-Tuff, Super-Glue, etc.?

Chance I changed from Pine Ridge and Goat Tuff to Super Glue Control gel.....good stuff, $2.50 price with a good cap. The other stuff stuck great but now there are no more 1/2 wasted $10 bottles of glue to go bad.

I'm with Smart. I use the Super Glue gel of various brands and it seems to work just fine.

I use the Fletch-tite Platinum and dont have any problems. What i have heard is you want to take a little bit of glue on a lint free towel and spin it on the shaft around where you are going to put your vanes. It bonds better.

Goat tuff is great, but I like the way Smart is thinking. That super glue gel will be my next glue choice. Hate the current tops that I have.

Just a note about Loc-Tite or other super glues... Tehy are brittle, so if you have too much on and your hand comes in contact with the feathers/vanes then you will get cut. Personally I use Fletch-Tite Platinum and it works great every time and stays flexible.

Super glue regular and no probs and no white streaks. and its cheap.. Cabellas guys said when they are out of the high diollar stuff thats what they use. I shot in Comp 2 weeks ago and at Cinnamon Creek yesterday with 4 people shooting at my Blazers and did not loose one.

Fletch-Tite Platinum followed by liquid super glue on the front and rear tips of the vane. I'm not sure if that's "how its supposed to be" but it works for me!

I am not following you here...please explain. How does placing glue on the bottom of the vane base affect the actual vane where it would possibly contact your hand? I roll the vanes the direction of the helical after a few hours of drying to check them...... not to mention after a passthrough or after leaning up against each other in my arrow holder. I have not encountered a cut.

Chance I buy mine in the Walmart hardware section and lowes....
