Am I in the Wrong?

Myself and my girlfriend were watching realtree roadtrips this evening, and when Blake Shelton let his arrow fly and it found its mark on the pig, the pig hit the ground with a big squeal. My girlfriend immediately yelled "thats not right, I dont like that", referring to the pig's scream. Am I in the wrong by getting so frustrated at her for just not getting it? Its part of hunting, pigs squeal. Needless to say, it was the end of us watching tv together.

I would not say you are in the wrong but lots of people prefer to not see that part of the show.

Pigs squeal! So do people in gorry movies, and people jumping out of planes and any other situation you want to throw in here. Some people don't understand and there is nothing you can do to change it. Compromise or move on.

She just doesnt understand it, has she ever been arround hunting before? If not then you might want to cut her a little slack i think. I explain things to my wife if she doesnt understand them, she really understands it if you are calm and settled when you tell them what happens. my .02

Completely understand. I have just tried to get her interested in hunting for so long that it just stinks when she doesn't like it. Anyways I'll stop whining about it now.

Don't force the issue. Does she force you to go shopping for shoes or other clothing, etc.? Somethings you either like or don't. No need trying to force her to change.

For my wife it is when they finally fall over. Just remind her of the bacon/sausage/jerky/steaks/etc. and all is forgiven
