      Years ago we used P&G hand soap for catfish in running water...

        I've used it. To me Ivory works just as well. IMO, soap works best in moving water. The river, the creek is where I have the best results. Not so much on the lake.

        I've caught blue cats up to 8 lbs. on it nothing any larger.

        Cut it with fishing line!

          My grandpa used ZOTE and another soap from mexico with a butterfly on the package on trot lines and I remember him bringing home some huge catfish
