I read a book on the Tunnel Rats of Cu Chi back in college. It was very good. But these days Hollywood brings us things way past political on the movies.

Well, Hollywierd's trying to turn all of America into panzies.

I don't care if we did (per the politicians) bail out of Vietnam. You guys did some AWESOME stuff over there. I salute you brother.

Thanks Jack. Somethin' goofy about the cover picture. If this is about Nam how come they have pictures with Blackhawks?

              funny how that works..
I got out in Dec72 - the day I got out the Blackhawk was just doing flight tests. They had sequence pix of one on the front page of the Army Times doing a barrel role.

              some other flaws
              the uniforms weren't right
and the re-created 25th ID shoulder patch was a joke
but the helicopter they had in the movie was an old single engine Huey UH-1

but for anyone who ever crawled down in a VC tunnel
this will bring back some serious PTSD......

I could imagine. Bet it takes a unique character to be able to go down those holes. When I went in the Pyramid in Egypt, it felt like the whole thing was going to fall down on my head!

My ex girlfriends ex husband did just that when he was in the Vietnam war. He was a tunnel rat and some of the stories that she told me about what he went through were just incredible! My hat is off to these guys!

good catch - I hadn't even noticed it was an M-4 carbine instead of an M-16
we had some M-16 carbines but they had a different forend

whoever did the cover art didn't do their homework

Jack, thanks for service over there, you guys did a great job and will never be told that enough. The movie is way late but it gives credit where it is due. Too bad the director and staff didn't get the equipment right but I will overlook their ignorance and focus on the men that gave it all.
