Did yall bother to read his initial post or did you just see "RED" when you discovered this was a question regarding crossbows? This poor guy stated he was looking forward to being part of this Bowhunting Community, excited about the upcoming season, had done some research and confirmed he would be able to experiment with a crossbow in the woods legally this fall, and stated he was giving the BOWTECH some time off. Cut the guy some slack. I got plenty of love for anybody around the fire and it doesn't matter if they're slinging blades, arrows, bullets, spears, knives, or using their bare hands to legally harvest game.
x2 for something well said. Welcome if this is legit. If not its funny.

Welcome. Good to see the new law is having it's intended effect, getting people involved in hunting.

Welcome to the green screens Heath. I just purchased a PSE Viper xbow. It shoots very accurate and is fairly reasonable in price. The thing I have found is that, on our lease in the hill country, the guys on the property adjacent to us are hunting with x-bows (obvious gun hunters trying to get a jump on the season) and they have made nervous wrecks out of our deer herd. They come to corn pens, jittery, jerky headed, noses up, tails high...and these are those down wind. They go into convulsions when they get down wind. Getting drawn in a tripod is nearly impossible. Gonna give the x-bow a try next weekend. I'll let you know how it comes out. By the way, I'm 66 yrs old and have taken over sixty deer with recurves and compounds..
