New Member - Question for the Experts!

Good morning all. My name is Heath and I live out in Study Butte, Texas. I am looking forward to being a part of this Bowhunting community.

I was recently told by a friend that Texas has passed a law that will allow hunters to use crossbows during the regular archery season without handicap stipulations. I verified that at the TPWD website and am ready to give the ole BowTech some time off in favor of a crossbow!

I am really anxious to start flinging some bolts, but unfortunately I am ill-equipped to begin the process as I simply do not know much about crossbow technology.

Thanks in advance for the advice!

    Heath

    Hey Heath,

Welcome to the Green Screen. I think your going to like it here, lots of knowledge. I too am excited about the new crossbow season. I think it will be a nice change of pace for the early season. Let me know what crossbow you decide to go with.

    Have a great day

Welcome but I will warn you the x-bow topic is a hot one around here so either you will not get much response or (hopefully not) your thread will take a beating.

          Good luck!

Welcome to the site. I don't know a thing about x-bows, so can't help you there. Good luck.

my dad uses a Horton and love it. P.S. I just imagine that all the anti-crossbow folks will go easy on you since it's your first thread. But once you get some antler growing it may be different.

Just messing with ya. We have some good folks around here. Welcome to the fire.

I am going to get one of those for my little varment gun... Maybe then the hubby will be ok with me going after a cape buffalo!
