Woo Hoo!! no pills for me I had to wear an automatic BP monitor for 24 hrs last Fri/Sat. Doc's office called today with results. Doc said as long as I am not in his office my BP is fine

If you haven't done it you might wanna do the 24 hr thing before taking meds. You may just be a weirdo like me Mine was around 160/100 in the Doc's office

I, too take the pill for BP. And another for cholesterol (although that's back to about normal).

I've been on them for a few months now. Funny thing is about a year and half ago, I started a fitness craze. Lost 25#'s after starting running and working out 4-5 days a week. Weight lifting 2-3 days and running 8-12 miles a week.

I turn 40 in December and I'm in the best shape of my life and now have high BP. Figures.

I've got the same problem. Age 37 and finally went to doctor after years of having a hard time breathing after eating. It turns out that my Heart wall is a centimeter thicker than it should be. The doc called it HOCM and prescribed beta blocker Metoprolol at 200mg a day. Talk about sucking the energy out of you! Good luck and let me know how your progressing!

My doc was skeered of mine...said it was high for my age and stuff. I started researching it and found some good info. The crazy thing is that there is actually something called "White Coat Hypertension". It means you only have high blood pressure at the doctor's office. I am going back and will ask about this since I've heard of someone to have it now!
