    Ok, here we go.

I am 232 tonight. That's after one Bloody Mary, weighs a lot less than an 18 pack Jeff!

I want to get to 200.

Will do it by lowering my calorie intake across the board, drinking more water, and getting myself some exercise.

I'm in! Weight is 293 on the professional scales they keep in our office.
Going for broke, looking for 225.
I will cut the cokes and sweet tea and drink water but you ain't getting my coffee. No more donuts are sweet stuff to boot.
I'll start walking more and riding less.

I started the first week of January after going through 7 pair of dress slacks in my closet and attending a dressy function in blue jeans.

I'm 6'1" and weighed more than I ever have, 246 big ones! I call my diet the Diet Pepsi/Rabbit Food/Just Say No To Fast Food Diet. I cut out all "leaded" soft drinks, drink a bottle of water every other time and Diet Pepsi when I want one. No sugar in tea, coffee or on cereal. I have just about cut out all fried foods, including french fries, my weakness. I've eaten more salads in the last two months than in the last five years. I haven't started exercising yet, but plan to as soon as I get through two projects that have been taking up a lot of my time lately.

I have to say I'm eating better than I have in some time, am wearing jeans I haven't worn in two years, have more energy and just plain feel better all around because of this change. I just weighed again tonight, the pounds are coming off and my gut is not hanging over near as far as it used to. I'm proud to report the scale registered 227! I'll be happy when it gets down below 220.

Hang in there, guys. It's worth it when you can get rid of a few pounds.

I was up to 215 and wearing a size 36 waist. Well I simply changed everything by simply eating smarter. I'm now down to a 34 waist and 180lbs (my ideal weight). I'm going to have to lean on 34 slims, regulars are a little too loose.

                      Then

                        I'm in.

Weighed at 230, trying to get to 200.

Doing the Atkins diet and trying to exercise. I am not coaching soccer anymore, so I don't play every day with the boys like I used to. I will have to put our new treadmill to use and I would like to join the local gym to start lifting weights again.

Continuing comments, jokes and inspiration are welcome - if I don't see the word "ladies, females, chicks" on here soon I got some comments for you !

                          To review the "rules":

                          1. Weight loss runs 3/1 to 9/3 (Labor day) = okay, but I plan on mine being gone way before then so I will make plans to maintain!

                          2. How much you want to lose, and how you plan to go about doing it are up to you = lets just say a few lbs that I will only admit to how much to Audra or any other female doing this, heck Cotton does not even get to know this #! How I plan on loosing, water, water, water, eating better, longer faster paced walks, working out.

                          3. If you don't achieve your goal, it costs you a (one =1) hunting-related T shirt that you'd buy and wear yourself = no worries here I'm determined!

                          4. If you achieve your stated goal, you should receive at least 1 decent T shirt. If you're the only one, may be a more than 1 T shirt = works for me and I can even provide the link for the shirt I want!

                          5. If we've got more "winners" than "losers", we agree to do something that's fair, I'll do a random draw of names for example = okay.

                          6. On the 1st and 15th of the month, I'll post a new thread for the diet. On that thread, we post current weight and starting weight. On the March 1st thread, we post our starting weight and goal = I'm thinking this won't work for me but I will share my weight with Audra! She can help keep me honest!

                          7. Post your diet/exercise plan and what you're doing, what's working and what's not = WATER WATER WATER, just eating better, walking walking walking.

                          8. "Belly pictures" of your BEFORE are OK to post, but with a shirt on, please! This is a family-rated site for Pete's sake = another one that just doesn't work for me! But for those that post their bellies I will certainly take part in making fun of you and laughing at you!

                          9. Others can join at any time to join the diet challenge, but somebody joining 1 week before and having a 5 pound goal obvously will not ge eligible for a T shirt

                          10. God bless everybody and may He give us all the will-power to make us healthier for ourselves, our hunting and our families who are all probably bugging us to do this already = God Bless you to even though you addressed this thread to the "gentlemen" and not the ladies !

P.S. = Dear Brother in Law Rob,

Please delete the pictures of the skinny girls above who look good in their jeans, it is depressing me! Don't make me kick your butt at the next family reunion!

Okay I'm game. 223.5 now and I need to get to below 200. I guess I'll set 195 as my target since that's about what I weighted when I was in good shape. My plan is to eat more lighter meals and give up my beloved Dr. Pepper. No soda's at all just lots of water. As far as working out I'm not sure what I'll do I guess walk more? I really hate to workout.
                              Good luck all!
