I'm hissed at the PGA Tour, but I just can't there that they are the cause of any of this.

As quiet and quick as this happened I almost wonder if leadership in LIV didn't have some sort of dirt to blackmail Jay Monahan or other top managment at the PGA, the whole deal seem surreal and weird.

LIV is not part of this deal. It is between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour, and the PIF.

Phil actively colluded to create a competitor. That is a fireable offense in any business.

Every sports league owns the media rights of the players.

For all of you crowing about LIV, Jay Monahan just put a bullet in LIV’s head and assured the financial stability of his league.

Because he wanted the PGA Tour to be like LIV and pay him guaranteed money. But, as a non-profit they couldn’t do that. Also, Phil is a narcissist.

We'll probably never know the whole story, but it was surreal for sure and something triggered them to announce before ready. I wondered if it was intentionally leaked to create mega distrust between Monahan and Tour. There is no way he would have done that without talking to players first unless there was no legitimate choice.

I keep hearing/reading a reference to $50M in legal fees just to settle what's on the table and no end in sight. And that there was information on both sides that would come out in deposition that neither wanted public. That could open it up to something akin to blackmail (in either direction or both).

I get that. But the PGA treated players like trash. Look at how they handled Phil over this mess.

PGA set the stage for this by not allowing the player’s opportunity to earn. Why strong arm a player over their play footage?

You my man are correct! And thats not ncluding when players are injured, the lack of compassion and help that the PGA doesnt give. And not including how players are restricted from entering the PGA. The amount of money a entering players need is unreal.
