Love the new rules.

With the shocking news that the PGA will merge with the Saudi Arabian LIV tour, the game of golf is set for radical change. Check out the new rules that will be adopted for the new tour:

1. Players who hit an errant shot must yell "ALLAHU AKBAR!" instead of "FORE!": We're pretty sure fans will pay a little more attention when someone starts screaming this.

2. If you hit a woman with your shot, it's an automatic birdie: Serves them right for attending a golf tournament without their husbands' permission.


3. Players will be allowed to eliminate one stroke per round, known as the "Kashoggi rule": Very handy.

4. Bunkers will be booby-trapped with mines from the Golan Heights: It will give a whole new meaning to the phrase "explode out of the sand".

5. Every tournament will begin with the ceremonial Stoning of the Gay: As is Saudi tradition.

6. If players miss a putt less than two feet, guards immediately chop off their hands: Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman believes if you miss a putt at that distance, you no longer deserve hands.

7. Once per weekend, they will let a suicide bomber loose on the course: Golf will never be boring again.

8. Winners will receive a new wife along with their oversized check: Right up Tiger's alley.

9. Players will be caned at the end of each round for each stroke over par: No more players cashing it in on a lousy round.

10. If a player's tee shot hits a Jew, they are instantly declared tournament champion.

I spent time in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Kuwait. their laws are different true, but at least they have a backbone to thieves and criminals. We attended a townhall reckoning when we first got over there. What a trip! I'll tell you one thing, if you stole something and got caught, you sure as hell ain't stealing again with that hand.

It's funny how LIV almost appears to be the upper statesman in this case.......

He also hosted PGA until they decided to shift venues…the PGA is NOT a victim in this mess… they are the cause and are reaping.

Im not defending the Saudis, its just hypocritical to say they murdered someone and act like we dont. Its silly as hell to sit here so self righteous towards another country when we do much worse.

I'm hissed at the PGA Tour, but I just can't there that they are the cause of any of this.

PGA Tour was profitable, paid its golfers well, and donated millions to charity.

Pre-LIV, #190 on the tour money list made $200K+. Every player ranked 141 and higher made $500K+ just from PGA tour earnings.

Enter a foreign country with unlimited funds intent on putting the PGA Tour out of business so they can buy into it, if not take over completely.

Throw in a DOJ and US Court system that granted standing to LIV as a free-trade competitor even though they did not have viable competitive offering.

Add in some big name players greedy enough to be bought as pawns to weaken the PGA Tour product while filing lawsuits on behalf of LIV.

Between purse increases and legal fees, PGA Tour was already looking at operating losses for 2023. And no end to legal fees or future purse increases.

It just doesn't look like the PGA Tour had any other options unless another entity stepped up to invest/acquire.

I get that. But the PGA treated players like trash. Look at how they handled Phil over this mess.

Phil actively colluded to create a competitor. That is a fireable offense in any business.

Every sports league owns the media rights of the players.

For all of you crowing about LIV, Jay Monahan just put a bullet in LIV’s head and assured the financial stability of his league.
