Port Aransas magic lure

I'll be at Port Aransas next week. I'll be walking around with a medium action spinning rod & reel. Not really fishing, but piddling, making the occasional cast. What would your one lure be? I'm thinking a 1/2 or 3/4 oz gold spoon. I've not used the plastics much, but willing to try if y'all think that's the ticket.

The spoon or a dsl soft plastic on an 1/8th oz or 1/4 oz jig head.

If not serious about working a lure hard go for a Popping cork with a plastic shrimp and some pro cure. Easy.

I’d be throwing 3” gulp shrimp. Especially if fishing jetties or sea wall type stuff around port A. Flounder really like gulp.

I like paddle tail plastics for flats. Down south burner shad in Chicken probably my favorite.

My first thought is spoon. I’ve caught redfish, trout, and even a few flounder on spoons. But I dang sure would have a couple of jigheads and pack of 3” new penny or white gulp shrimp in my pocket.
