This^^^^ i think mine and my dads problem is no matter how big we have made them they are already full when they get finished...

We are about to build another 24-30 x 90 ish lean to equipment shed behind the 50x80 pole barn. Thats just equipment then we will start on a Hay barn one of these years... Go big...

Our warehouse for our business just sold, and we are about to build a "shop" at the house. We're going from 8k sq ft to 1500 needless to say, we rented the warehouse due to price not need...and before we knew it, we had the dang thing filled with storage crap. Now my MIL and SIL are having to figure out where to put all of the junk they had accumulated and put in here...not my issue

That being said, I agree with the folks saying build it bigger than you think you need. You WILL end up thinking "I need to park XYZ under the barn as well" and it'll be full before you know it and you'll be wishing you had built bigger I don't know the exact measurement of the barn at the farm, but I do know that between 2 large tractors, a small yard tractor, 2 zero turn mowers, a couple of trailers, a compost tea setup, the tack room, and a plethora of other implements and stuff, it is full to the brim underneath the open areas

Can't help as far as price goes...the new shop is enclosed with a slab and therefore isn't what you're asking about. And the barn I mentioned above that is basically what you're asking about has been there for 30 years

I have 5 30' wide trusses that would make a 30'x40 barn... bought them to build the kid a showpig barn but we went a different route. plant posts install trusses add in roof 2x6 hangers / side wall slats and tin it up... pm me if you might be interested. very close to these www.truss.supply/

I saw an ad the other day on FB - a 20' x 40' x 12' for $14,500. 20' covered barn + 20' open air covered area. So the 40' length was split. It did not include concrete work but did include 2 roll up doors. Sorry, but I cannot recall the dealer's name. I'll bet since I typed this up, when I go to FB next time I will be covered in ads for barns.

Mine is pretty much a 20x40 carport, but it wouldn't take much to enclose it. I'm going to build another to cover my travel trailer.

I agree with everyone else. Get the biggest you can afford. I built a 16X24 for my tractor. It’s a subcompact 38 hp. Then realized I had no room for implements. Ended up having a 30X50 with a 16’ lean too built.

We built one in 2020. It's 30x50 with two 12' insulated garage doors with a 20x30 porch. Concrete on the whole 2100 sf, and it cost about $15 a sf. Wood frame structure.

What's cheaper to build now? Wood frame or steel?

wood studs and such have dropped drastically in price since Covid. Anything metal now days is still outrageous.

We are about to do 25x33x12. 10’ tractor, 10’ UTV, 13’ cattle pen. Closed on three sides

My well house is 30’x40’ insulated and climate controlled. I added a 24’x40’ lean-to on one side in 2021. I’m adding a 20’x40’ carport on the other side as we speak for one of my campers and a cargo trailer. I have too dang many trailers.
