You do know that those little knobs on the front are used to adjust the level of heat, right?

You might want to try putting your sausage/bacon on a section of the griddle and don't light the burner and just use the heat from the burners next to them where you're cooking eggs, pancakes, etc... I do that sometimes with veggies that I want to just "wilt", like spinach when I'm grilling steaks.

The other thing that helped me tremendously (probably more than anything else I have done to learn to control the heat) is I ditched the hose that came with the griddle and bought one with an adjustable regulator... gives me MUCH more control, especially for the higher temp cooks like quick searing a steak or a prime rib before putting it in my Dutch oven to cook over charcoals.

I go back to this thread from time to time looking for meal ideas. They are very versatile.

I do breakfast mostly on mine. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns. They are also great for cooking up fajitas, chicken breasts, hamburgers, and probably a whole lot more I haven’t tried yet!!

Remember when the wife had a griddle in the house. Now yall men have outdoor kitchens so you can cook all the meals. Won't be long until we have our own outdoor washers and dryers

Recently got a 36". Just did Smash burgers on Saturday with ours. Came out awesome and a favorite with the family. Toasts the buns and grills the burgers at the same time.

But like others have said, the options of meals are endless.

Especially nice with meals that tend to splatter or make bigger messes. Keeps the wife off your back.

                      Just followed him! Thanks.

Very informative thread. I have cooked several things on mine but always looking to learn more. The one thing I cooked that I havent liked so far was fajitas, they just dont taste the same over an open flame or coals. They tasted somewhat bland on the griddle.
