I have a buddy who started his construction business on the side but once he bought himself a skid steer and a dump trailer 90% of his work is demo and haul offs. Said makes more money and easier work. Works less time than when he was doing home remodeling.

No side hustle here, but I've always wanted to open up a topless haircut joint...

We have our own crew to do the work. But yes bidding, and working through insurance on homes affected by storm damage. In my first year I made more in a month than I did at my previous job in a year.

That's awesome. I know a guy from high school who started his roofing company many years ago and is doing very well for himself.

I work the DuPont schedule and have a good bit of time off free during the week. I started tying flys and have considered getting my guide license. After we get this house paid off I will retire and plan to sell some of what I tie while traveling. In the meantime I plan to sell a few on Etsy because I can make my own hours and tie when I want to.

My bride said I should build/sell custom furniture on the side but I’ll stick to flys and bartering

Mowing/landscaping. I enjoy it so much I may actually try to turn it full time at some point. After sitting behind a desk 40 hours a week, it’s nice to get out, get some sunshine, and break a sweat.

We sell meat rabbits, quail, and quail eggs. It's a hobby but we make enough to pay for our feed, supplies, critters, and keep the freezer full. Next is a steer and a couple feeder pigs.

Few of my coworkers do this on the side as well. We get out of work at 2:30 PM and off on the weekends. They make some pretty good money doing it on the side. They tell me to get into it, there is so much work that they don't even take on anymore. I just don't have a place to keep a trailer.
