Well put in 15 hard miles in. At 7pm I finally got on a huge bull and my Brand new Fierce 300prc extractor decided to break and just like that the money, hard earned miles are done.

Hats off to my guide Simon who worked his butt off to get me a bull. They just weren't moving.

I could not close bolt and currently have a live round stuck in barrel. I could not shoot. I just booked for Jan when they are in the rut.

I often think, why carry a second rifle as I've never had a failure. Well this removes the doubt for me.

I realize it wouldn't have helped you as it was the end of your hunt. Still a tough one.
