Wife and I will be in Round Rock and Georgetown for a few days soon and looking for suggestions on things to do and places to eat. Picked up a few ideas from searching the internet but looking to see what the GS has to say. Going to take in a game at Dell stadium one evening. We will be staying in Georgetown. Also Austin info would be good. Thanks!

Monument cafe’ in GT is old school and really good. Gumbos on the square in GT is good even though it’s lost a step. Andice General Store for one of the best burgers in Tx. About 25 minute drive, open until 6:00 (better check). There are some cool little shops on the square in Georgetown. Check out Nathan’s Hats (mine will be ready in 7-8 months). San Gabriel park is nice, bring your fly rod. There is a great fly fishing shop in RR if that’s your thing-Living Waters. Pass on Salt Lick BBQ at the Dell Diamond. If you want to eat near the ball park try a dive called the red wagon-burgers and enchiladas. If you dig black guns-Guns Plus in GT. They know their business. Interstellar BBQ in north Moscow (Austin) made #2 on Texas Monthly’s list. If you try it let me know. Crowds have kept me away and I live 7 miles from it.Last edited by dosrobles; 05-01-2023, 03:34 PM.

When did they open a Catfish Parlour in G’town. When I lived there, the best place to eat catfish was Catfish n More right by the city park.

we have lived in Georgetown for 43 years.
Go down to the square and there are a bunch of cool restaurants, wine, and beer establishments along with a few nice bars.
Best Restaurants - Blue Corn, Golden Rule, and Wildfire IMO.
Mesquite Creek is a fun place for beer and wine. Lots to see and do around the square so don't miss out seeing it. Have fun

Spend a day and evening on the square, always something cool going on and great places to eat, drink and hangout.
Voting up Golden Rule and Mesquite Creek Outfitters
Swing by Nate’s Hats to check out an old world hatter.
Monument Cafe for breakfast (gotta get chicken and biscuits or sugar pearl waffles)
City Post for a fancy dinner
El Monumento is a good dinner and drink spot
San Pedro de Limon for breakfast tacos
Sweet Lemon for apple sausage kolaches
2020 Scratch kitchen in the Rivery
Wild Fire is good also
River and Ranch Provisions (if you like fancy outdoor gear and good people)
And then all the walking trails, San Gabriel park, blue hole can be fun too.
