Praying for Mom and family and the medical team for a great outcome and healing.

Got dad situated in respite care for 14 days today. Mom goes in at 10 tomorrow morning for surgery. Please pray that they are able to do a laparoscopic approach as opposed to an open abdomen as this will significantly shorten her recovery. She’s apprehensive but ready to tackle this head on and get it over with. Thanks again for all the prayers guys…means a lot!

Lord God we come to you no fervent prayer asking for the fastest recovery possibly for this sweet, sweet mom and wife. Even now Lord take away her anxiety and give her peace. Show her that her husband and soul mate is in good hands that she need not fret over not being able to care for him so she can concentrate on coming through this surgery successfully and restored. Heal her quick Lord and give the whole family peace and comfort knowing that You have them all wrapped in Your supernatural tent of protection. For it is in the name of Jesus we believe and pray, Amen!

Update. Thank you guys for the prayers, they are certainly working! Surgery went as well as we could have hoped for. Removed the lesion, surrounding tissue was very healthy so able to reconnect and avoid the ostomy bag! She was pretty worn out last night, but very thankful!

Mom was discharged home today! We are well on the way to healing from the surgery. Will know more about the following treatment plan at follow up this week.

Hate to bump this one back up…mom’s 6 month oncology appointment was today…markers are high. Not what we wanted to hear. CT scan scheduled for early November…asking my brothers and sisters on the GS to lift her up in prayer again.
