Haven’t updated in a bit as we were waiting on some answers…CT scan revealed a mass in the sigmoid colon and colonoscopy confirmed cancer. I guess the one positive is that it is a reoccurrence of the ovarian cancer and not a new form. They are confident that they can remove it and surgery is scheduled on the 25th. Dad is going to respite care for 14 days while mom is recovering. I’ll update when I know more. Please keep the prayers coming! I’m about stressed to the max and I can’t even imagine what my mom and dad are feeling.

Understand all about the stress. Late last week, I had to take my father to the ED for what the onsite nurse thought could be a rapidly growing, life threatening infection; mother sick and throwing up. This, on top of other pending family health issues, so I know exactly how you feel. Some days, it just doesn't pay to get out of bed.

Got dad situated in respite care for 14 days today. Mom goes in at 10 tomorrow morning for surgery. Please pray that they are able to do a laparoscopic approach as opposed to an open abdomen as this will significantly shorten her recovery. She’s apprehensive but ready to tackle this head on and get it over with. Thanks again for all the prayers guys…means a lot!
