Over the Apple Watch! Which Smart Watch Do You Have?

I mainly use mine for calls, text, Heart Rate, and fitness modes to track caloric burn and workouts.

Anything I get needs to be legit water resistance or water proof I swim, shower, and fish with it on. Only take it off to charge.

Which Smart Watch for you have compatible to IPhone?

    Price point?

    Pros/Cons?

    Battery Life?

Garmin Fenix. Mines been incredible. Battery life blows the apple watch out of the water. I easily get a week out of mine, probably closer to 2.

Pros: It just works and is far more durable than the apple watch.
Cons: Screen isn't a mini iphone screen so it's not near as fancy as an apple watch but I don't care about that. Don't know that they make a cellular model to actually make calls but texts are bluetooth transferred to your watch to read there.

My model is a few years old and I was recently contemplating upgrading it, but then realized I didn't need to spend that money, my current model still works as good as the day I bought it and has way more capability than I even need from it.

If you are wanting to stick with Apple the current generation watch has a specific model that is waterproof to either 33’ or 30 meters for diving.

Otherwise I’ve heard nothing but praise for the Garmin mentioned above.

The garmin five burnt the top of my arm. I tried multiple times with it but it was just too much. I guess I had an allergy from the casing or something. They even sent a new one to try and it was the same. I ended up selling them both.

I have interest in the Apple Watch but I don’t want to spend because I’m concerned that I will be allergic to their casing as well.

I would like to find something that works for me.

I've had the Garmin VivoActive 4 for over a year and like it. Battery life is good and it'll do all of what you want it to do.

I’ve got a garmin fenix 7 and it’s great. You can’t call/text/email with it unless you have an android. Doesn’t bother me, kind of nice reading notifications/texts when they come through and deciding if you need to bust out the phone. Screen is definitely lesser than the apple product, but the thing is bullet proof and lasts for two weeks without a charge.

I’ve had 3 Apple Watches — Original, 3 and 4. I finally got fed up with the battery life (have to charge every day), kept breaking the screen, and couldn’t use if I had certain gloves on. Finally sold them and got the Garmin Felix 6x Sapphire almost three years ago. It works better FOR ME. I can go at least two weeks between charges, no problems with gloves, and not a single scratch on the screen. I’m happy with it.

I have the Garmin Fenix 7. I love it. Took a bit to get used to over the Apple Watch, but now I like it a lot more. I turn off calls and texts on the watch though. I just use mine for time and the fitness stuff. Having the weather and sunrise/sunset times preloaded on the watch is a nice feature as well. Charging once a week is way better than having to charge it every night. The thing is tough as nails as well.
