I know you know this…it aint about you.

Find that church the Spirit moves you to and plug in. Your servant heart may be the catalyst need to help with some change.

I would encourage you to count your blessings. Spend some time reflecting on what your thankful for, fell the gratitude. I know that process really helps me.

      God bless!

I've been blessed beyond measure by God but that doesn't mean my life has been without sorrow.
Our time on earth is but a blink of an eye compared to eternity.

Kyle, my advise to you is to get back to church. Not for the kids sake but for your spiritual growth. God will provide grace to you if you are just willing to listen.
      Prayers brother.

God is Good to me and to all of us! Sometimes our outlook gets a bit cloudy. Don’t let it get you down brother. Pray to the Lord that he help you see/recognize your blessings and how to best utilize them.

This church you mentioned that seems to be more of a social gathering. Seems to me you see an issue and I believe you can help them out. Go there and set the example. Perhaps they are in need of a leader and you just might be that person.

Theres a reason for everything and the hardship makes you strong. Think of the young ones you helped while active.
The best thing here is your consciousness seems to be alive and well and facing the same questions other thinking people ponder.

How has God been good to me? Well he didn't take me to heaven or send me to hell while I was asleep last night. So that's a pretty good start. I kinda figure he's gonna leave it up to me to have a good day or not. He's got a busy schedule so I'm guessing he's looking after someone that's got cancer or something. I can make what I want out of the good or bad in my life. If I choose to let the bad control my life and define who I am as a person, that's on me.

Kyle, you are a good man, I know that from your posts although we only met once. You’ve recieved some good (and uplifting) advice from the posters above, and one of the best IMO from TLH. We are all blessed in one way or another, even in our hardships and sorrows. There are lessons in life, some hard, some not so much. Focus on the good that you can do, and take joy in it. Best of luck to you.
