Ok Green screen, maybe I am reading WAY too much into it, but I just got a tikka T3x in 7mm-08 and am looking for some scope rings I can mount directly to the rail that comes factory with the rifle. A buddy is sending me an extra pair of leupold rifleman scope rings he had, but I am concerned if they will fit without me having to put a picatinny rail on the gun. Anyone know 1, if the scope rings my buddy is sending me will fit or 2, anyone have suggestions on good rings that will fit directly to the factory mounting rail?

Tikka T3x question
If you want direct mount, get some Hawkins Long Range Hybrids. Otherwise, put a pic rail and quality rings on. Scope mounts aren’t the thing to be cheap or lazy on.Last edited by Raider4044; 04-05-2023, 09:30 AM.

I have three Tikka rifles. One of them, my rings fit directly to the dovetail slots. These are made by Warne, a great company that puts out a quality product. You won't have to remove anything and they're great. I have a CTR in .308 that has a pic rail that comes on the rifle, a T3 Roughtek in 7mm REm Mag that I wanted to use a rail on, and the T3 that I went direct to the action with using the Warne rings. I really like the low profile I get going directly to the action, it's a very solid set up.
Further to my post, I really like Tikka rifles and start about 8 years ago have gone to them almost exclusively. On my set up that I went direct to the rail with using Warne Rings, I also put it in a Bell and Carlson Medalist Stock, sanded the barrel channel for full float all the way to the recoil lug and trashed the bottom plastic and bought bottom metal from High Dester Rifle works. So, this $599.00 rifle is now a $1,000.00 rifle that shoots like a million bucks, 1/2" or less all day long, shoots as good as my CTR. So good, I don't hesitate to thread the needle for a heart shot on the biggest hog kill of my life just a few days ago.Last edited by Dbap; 04-05-2023, 02:27 PM.
