Codigo is one of our favorites but the Herradura Double Barrel Reposado is probably our favorite. A must try, great on the rocks and also great mixing. Lalo, Codigo, and Herradura are our go to’s.

I've been trying different tequilas lately. Girlfriend picked this up and it tastes like an ashtray, I can't drink it.

My husband brought home a few less expensive tequilas to try, one of which was Tres Generaciones. TG was surprisingly rich and smooth, given the price point, and is has become my top pick for an all-around tequila.
If you haven’t done so, try 1800 Anejo. It’s still my favorite Anejo in its price range and beats most of the higher end Anejo’s I’ve tried.

We use nothing but Codigo Blanco in our margaritas. If I’m drinking straight, it’s Clase Azul Repo, Mezcal, or Gold; 1942 Repo, or Casa Noble Anejo. Recently picked up a Mi Familia Extra Anejo, and it’s very good and smooth, with a cube of ice.

Not a fan of fine tequilas at all.
Azteca, Montezuma, even Dos Gusanos mezcal is my go to!
I want the "bite" of real tequila.
I certainly appreciate the finer tequilas, and I do keep them for visiting friends, just not my personal taste!

I honestly think 1800 reposada is the equivalent to wild Turkey 101 in the bourbon world. It ain’t the best…. But for the value it’s better than lots at 5x the price and has more complexity than most can appreciate or differentiate. They buy the expensive stuff to impress….. people that can’t tell a difference either. Lol
