All Hat and No Cattle

Folks have been wearing cowboy hats without cattle long before the folks with their requirement list of absolutes came around..

And wisdom speaks.

A family member got married a few years ago. When we were at the reception, I looked around, and most everyone were boots and cowboy hats. I know for a fact my family member has never been around, and neither had 99% of the people there I knew.

The only 3 guys that actually owned cattle or even worked with cattle were my uncle, my dad, and myself. We were standing in blue jeans, plain leather belts, button-down shirts we probably all have owned for at least 10 years, no hats. We had ball caps in the truck. I had on leather boot and my dad and uncle were wearing some leather shoes.

I made a comment and we all just laughed.
