Definitely find a running store and try on several. Try to find a few different models that work for you. Try runrepeat.com for an easy way to search for deals on those models. I have a few brands that fit me and I just find whatever high end cushioned(because that's what I prefer) shoe is the best deal. I've had adidas, brooks, mizuno, saucony and probably several others. My wife just got a pair of On Cloudmonsters and says they are the best thing she's ever put on her feet. She was previously in Brooks Glycerin which are top of the line cushioned shoes.

Absolutely agree! Hoka shoes are pure quality – super comfy and durable. The Bondis are a game-changer! If you're ever in the mood to explore some more top-notch kicks, you can check out https://www.kickslounge.com/collections/nike for some stylish Nike options...I've recently bought a new pair of shoes there...really nice!

My son who runs cross country and long distance in track just wore out a pair of Nike ZoomFly 5 after about 500 miles or so and has done lots of research and is now switching to New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Trainer v2. He is about to start track and will be running the long distance races. He bought a pair of Brooks running shoes but they were considerably heavier than his Nike. He really only uses them if its real muddy or if he leaves his shoes at school over the weekend.

As others have mentioned, go to a running store and get fit. Zappos is another good option if you don’t have easy access to a running store. They have a great return policy so order several pairs and return what you don’t like.
I’ve settled in with Hoka Cliftons. Their wide sizes have great room in the toe box so I never get blisters. My only complaint is that they don’t last very long (250-300 miles for me) but I keep an eye out and buy a few pairs when I catch them on sale. I can find them for about $100 from time to time.
