    Quality shoes

When I need new shoes, I've always drifted towards the standard whatever is on clearance under armor or nike from academy..

I'm getting more serious into running and they just aren't going to cut it. What is yalls experience and recommendation with a more premium shoe company?

    Ie, Hoka/ON/NoBull/Brooks..

I'm a fan of Brooks. They fit well for me, but I also use after market insoles in almost all my shoes also. I'm pretty cheap, I usually find slightly used shoes on ebay so I don't pay full price.

I don’t run anymore, but would still recommend Brooks.

Hokas. I’ve had Brooks but imo don’t hold a candle to Hokas. Hokas are good for about 600 miles.

I’ve enjoyed the one pair of Hokas I have. Crazy amount of padding on the sole. Just bought a pair of Altras that feel great. REI has a great selection of you have one close to you.

I’ve been a brooks fan for several years. Bought my first pair of ON and really like them. I don’t think you can go wrong with either. I really like the Hoka’s but seem a little bulky for my liking.

Find a running shoe store or call Roadrunnersports.com these guys will help you with the correct shoe and fit. For running shoes, the shoe has to match your foot or they can cause you pain. Also, running shoes are like tires, you should only put about 250 miles on them, or sooner if your strike causes uneven wear.

Go to a running store and get fit. It will cost you a bit more, but it will be money well spent.

Asics Kayano. If you put on alot of miles you will wear them out but they sure make your feet smile. Maybe 6 months a pair for me running 3-4 times a week

I don't run, but try to walk four miles a day & buy good running shoes...I moved from Asics to Brooks a couple years ago & am happy.

been running 15 miles a week for 42 years now - I am 70 years old.

Brooks have worked for me but the above advice is dead on IMO - buy a new pair every 250-350 miles - worth every penny because knee replacements cost alot more

Hoka, but find a running shop and try several brands.

I have been heavy into triathlons the last two years.

Hoka Cliftons are my favorite shoe by far. I’ve tried ASICS and Brooks and the Hokas win out by a long shot

Hokas are the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn, my only complaint was they tore up pretty quick. The soles were good but liner around the back of the ankle tore up on both shoes.
