    Flat Earthers!!

Who here on the GS believes that the earth is flat, and can it be proven?

3 years ago I did not know a single "flat earther" and now I work with 4 or 5 of them(all 35 or younger)and they cannot be swayed from their belief.. Some even take offense when I question them..

What is this new phenomena? Is this being taught these days? Where is this coming from?
I love to learn new things..

It's because they go on YouTube and type in "flat earth proof" and never follow it up with "flat earth debunked".

maybe they should ask a surveyor why they have to account for the curvature of Earth?

Hence the distortion of size, shape, distance, and direction of land masses. Here is your answer, OP. People don't maintain the simplest concepts such as gravity (or map distortion, albeit jokingly) to comprehend your "argument" or proof that earth is round.

you can observe the curvature of the earth if you watch big ships that leave port. as they get farther away it will look like they are sinking into the water. you will probably need a telescope similar device to see the boat at the distances required though.

Prepare to be blown away by the amount of flat earthers on here. We had a thread on this last year. I was certainly amazed. And your not going to change a single one of their minds by the way.

And all this time, I thought it was cylinder shaped. Just flat on Antarctica and North pole.

The fish are biting and there's hogs to be kill-t. Gotta go!

I have a cousin who is die hard flat earth. I've listened to some of his "arguments". My conclusion is that he is an idiot.

It’s definitely not flat. I’ve hunted and snow skied in mountains.

That's exactly why I don't get too close to the edge.
