Where to get a hide tanned?

Call Fur Dressers Express and talk to them. They are in the Addicks area of west Houston. They may tan them for you. Or try Houston Fur dressers. They are in the Greens point area of Houston.
Both may require you to be a taxidermist. IDK.

unless you are going to use a taxidermist- I think there are only several tanneries in the US that will deal with the public as "walk in" orders. As mentioned North Texas is one of those. There used to be a sponsor on here on out of Weimer, Tx that would also do it, Longhorn Tannery or Lone Star ??

Otherwise a registered taxidermist will have lots of places to chose from. There are at least 4-5 commercial tanneries in the Houston area but none will deal with a one off public order to my knowledge.

I'm not opposed to using a taxidermist. I just never had a hide tanned. I Appreciate the heads up though

If you use North Texas Tannery, you must call first. Heaven help you if you should show up with hides and not call first. And the wait is 8 months but the quality has been good and the price fair.

Both these require a business being registered with them. I'm 99% sure they don't accept one off public drop offs.
