Moultrie Edge cell cam questions

So I bought one to use (mainly for security reasons) at an off water lot I have at lake LBJ. Was extremely easy to set up, but I can't seem to get it to ping my phone when it detects motion and takes a video/picture. I have the app settings set to "Immediately" and the Notifications set to "Allow" on my phone. It takes a minimum of 10-15 minutes for the pictures to show up on the app. Also, I can't seem to actually access the videos? It asks me to download them but for the life of me, I can't find them anywhere once they download? Anyone have experience with this camera and know what the issue is?

I think it’s a issue with the app mine also doesn’t send alerts even though I have it set to. It’s supposed to be getting updated soon according to a msg I got through the app so maybe that’ll fix it

Moultrie Edge cell cam questions

Once you request the video, they will download the next time the camera checks in back in the original spot. You have to go back to the video you requested and you will see an a play button on that photo. I have circled three downloaded videos in the app in the picture below.





As far as the notifications, I would reach out to the MM team at 1-844 908-1219. They can take a look at your account and see what is going on.

I have my set for immediate but I don’t get notifications. I just check it often. Using for security, I can see where you want that.

If you aren’t getting the play button icon, make sure you are hitting the request video button and next time the camera sends another video it will send you the video you requested.

That being said, I’ve been happy with mine, two months now. Much better quality pics compared to my Spypoint.

My cell service is so bad it sometimes goes weeks before it gets enough signal to send anything. Eventually it does and sends a bunch at once.

Yep I guess I just assumed I would get a notification. For my purposes for this particular camera, I really need to get notifications. Oh well, live and learn.

I receive notifications from mine when it takes a picture. I have a Samsung Note as long as my notifications are turned on, I get notified of new pictures.

If you have an iPhone you have to also go into the settings in your phone and find the MoultrieMobile app and go into the notification settings there.

I need to run a couple in New Mexico to monitor water levels in some tanks and for secuirty.

Very remote, limited service so hoping the camera can last several months minimum

I put a solar on mine so I'm no help. Mine already went off line so I have to go and do a hard reset. Not a good start for me.

This could be inaccurate, but I read somewhere you have to get the solar battery powering it 1st, then insert the batteries so that it doesn't draw though down 1st.

When you say went off line, do you think the batteries died or the camera just failed?
