Hiblers said $1286 and $3-400 shipping.

Nothing against them, but I'd feel a lot better knowing it is close and a shipper can't loose it. The local guy has done a whitetail, pronghorn and axis for me and they all turned out really good - so I'd rather use him anyway.

I've had enough jobs where getting quotes was routine and you never get only 1 - hard to not apply that to everything.

He will be fine.. It's just a large antelope.. They are fairly easy to mount but he does need to use reference.

Tanning on the other hand is another story. They have extremely thick skin and are very laborious to shave thin, which is required for mounting.. The last one I tanned.. Before shaving.

Good luck on the hunt. I would want to use a Taxi who has done these types of game before. Experience in the specie matters. I know you have a Taxi in mind. But I have seen some great mounts come out of Rhodes Bros Taxidermy in Kerrville.
Here is his price list and his showroom is impressive also. A few Nilgai and Eland on the wall there now waiting to be picked up.. https://rhodestaxidermy.com/pricelist.html

Yard birds taxidermy did mine he has won some taxidermy conventions for his nilgai mounts .....he is located near mountain home I think ....I shot 5 bulls before ever getting one mounted and have seen some jacked Nilgai mounts before trust me take it to yard birds ...the problem with hibler is they do too many to pay good attention to detail ......I took them a cape from my last bull to get tanned into a rug got it back in the mail looking like a 5yr old wadded it up and shoved it into a box all wrinkled too **** ......I have received capes that have been shipped from different continents in better shape than that .....

              RW Taxidermy in Bryan Texas

I paid $950 a few years ago for this Nilgai Bull wall pedestal.

Robert White does all my mounts. Whitetail, Nilgai, axis, sambar, and plenty from Old Mexico.

I am particular about the mounts and really always impressed with his work.
